Yes, you read it correctly..
RIGHT TO RAPE
Shocking truth....
But it's true that Marital Rape is LEGAL in our country.
Marital rape is the act of sexual intercourse with one's spouse without the spouse's consent. It is a form of domestic violence and sexual abuse.
What does this mean?
Women are not safe before and even after marriage.
Maximum of the Marital rape cases goes unreported.
RAPE IS RAPE
Approximations have quoted that every 6 hours; a young married woman is burnt or beaten to death, or driven to suicide from emotional abuse by her husband.
A marriage is a bond of trust and that of affection. A husband exercising sexual superiority, by getting it on demand and through any means possible, is not part of the institution. Surprisingly, this is not, as yet, in any law book in India.
If marital rape would be considered as one of the criminal offence, there will be more husbands in jails than homes.
Being a man doesn't give you the right to have sex whenever you want.
We are not toys that are used to fulfill your sexual needs. We also have feelings. Please respect our feelings.
Raise your voice...
It's important for each and every women to start protecting themselves from the cruel intentions of their husbands.
Raise your voice...

ReplyDeleteSo recently I watched Sonu ke titu ki Sweety, in which sonu says to titu ki “ I know Teri bhi needs hai but uske liye shaadi kyu kar raha hai”, and then also suggests that he can set him up with girls to “fulfill” his needs. This is where it goes wrong! That cinema is promoting girls as sex toys ! Although the movie was fun overall but there we don’t realise how in hidden ways movies train us to accept and promote this mindset in everyone, even girls for that matter!
